FileReceive Links allow anyone to securely receive files with guest links. This includes files, folders, and large files that cannot be sent via email. Once the link is created, you can share FileReceive Links with anyone, even those without a FilesAssist account. Here are some ways you can send and customize settings for FileReceive links:

To create a General FileRecieve Link (If enabled by the Administrator)
1. Login
2. Locate/create the folder you wish to use for the FileReceive link.
3. Right-click on the folder that you wish to use for your FileRecieve Link
This opens up your FileRecieve Settings
4. Select Create Link.
5. This brings you to your link. Here you can view the link yourself by selecting or Copy your link by selecting
To Send a FileRecieve Link with Contacts
1. Login
2. Locate/create the folder you wish to use for the FileReceive link.
3. Right-click on the folder that you wish to use for your FileRecieve Link
4. Enter your email recipients manually.
5. You may also select the contacts button to the right,
6. Select the contacts that you need.
7. Select Add Selected Contacts and Close
8. Click on Send link and your link will be sent to the selected recipients.
To Send a FileRecieve Link with Outlook
1. Login
2. Locate/create the folder you wish to use for the FileReceive link.
3. Right-click on the folder that you wish to use for your FileRecieve Link
4. Select Send with Outlook
This will open up Microsoft Outlook, Windows Mail, or any supported email program. Once open you will be able to send your link through your email address.

FilesAssist allows you to customize your FileRecieve links, in many different ways, In this section, we are going to go over FileRecieve settings in detail.
General Settings
1. General Tab- This is where you can access your General Settings
2. Advanced Tab- Where you can access your Advanced Features.
3. Remember My Choices- This allows you to remember your settings for additional FileRecieve links
4. Upload- This allows you to control how recipients can upload data.
- Allow new uploads to overwrite files with the same name.- If this is checked all the old files with the same name will be overwritten. If unchecked the files will be duplicated.
- Allow users to upload entire folders- Enabling this feature will allow users to upload entire folders along with files.
- Create a subfolder for each FileReceive recipient- Organize files received from each recipient by creating subfolders in the folder associated with the FileReceive Link.
5. Security
- Password Protection- This allows you to protect your FileReceive link, Recipients will need to enter this password to access the FileRecieve link.
- Link Expiration- Allows you to limit the time frame in which a recipient can upload files
6. Do Not Display
- My Name- Allows you to keep your name from showing up on your FileReceive Link
- My Email Address- Allows you to keep your email from showing up on your FileReceive Link
7. Tracking
- Email when files are uploaded- Will send an email to the sender of the FileReceive Link when a file is uploaded via the link.
- Email me when the Link is accessed for the first time- Will email the owner of the Link when a recipient accesses the link for the first time.
- Record Link activity in the History Log- This will allow for any activity that is performed with the FileReceive Link to be tracked and recorded in the History Log.
- Additional Tracking Recipients- Allows you to add people to email notifications
Advanced Settings
1. General Tab- This is where you can access your General Settings
2. Advanced Tab- Where you can access your Advanced Features.
3. Remember My Choices- This allows you to remember your settings for additional FileRecieve links
4. Contacts- Save recipients to contact list- Allows you to manually enter an email address and then save it to your contact list for future correspondence.
5. Sent From Address- Allows you to have your own email or FileAssist's email show on the FileRecieve link in the case that your own email is blocked or flagged as spam.
6. Personalized email- Allows you to enter a personalized email to the recipient
7. Return Button- Allows you to direct your FileRecieve Recipients to a website of your Choice (If enabled by the Administrator)
- Button Label- Allows you to use custom text to make a button for your link
- Button URL: Allows you to enter the website you wish to redirect the recipient to.
